Free Math Community Event

Location: Claremont Helen Renwick Library Conference Room

Date: December 6, 2025

Time: 12:30-4:30 pm

Unhappy with your grade in math? Come work on the fundamentals and learn how numbers were invented (or discovered?)! We all struggle with negative numbers and fractions, but as long as you know how they were made and why they are important, using them becomes as easy as 1, 2, 3…

You’ll instantly feel smarter once you’ve harnessed the power of these number systems. Not only that, but you’ll also grasp how essential going backwards is in math, leading to so many challenging problems, clever solutions, and beautiful discoveries.

Set up a good foundation, and math will finally make sense, now and forever. It may even be fun…

Free Math Tutoring Session

Location: Claremont Village Packing House 2nd Floor

Dates:

April 26, 2025

April 27, 2025

Are you struggling in your math class? Do you have questions that require detailed, in-person explanations? Are you nodding while reading this because these questions are hitting a little too close to home? Luckily, there is a solution for you. On April 26 and 27, Shane will be hosting a free study session at the Claremont Village Packing House.

The event on April 26 and 27 is from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm at 532 W. First St 204, Claremont, CA 91711. The first hour, from 2:00 to 3:00, will be an optional parent information session. Not only will Shane provide an overview of the program, but he will also give a free lesson to parents on how to help their students with math related homework and questions effectively. Regardless of whether their parents attend the information session or not, all students of all ages are welcome to come afterwards. From 3:00 to 10:00 pm, Shane will host an open space for students to come and study together, and he will be walking around answering questions. With AP, IB, and SAT testing right around the corner, this is the perfect opportunity for all students to clear up any areas of difficulty and get questions answered. The session will focus on math but anyone attending is open to work on anything they like. If you have any specific questions about the event, feel free to contact @jungsoomath on Instagram.
